The Lounge Grandeur is divided into four distinct areas: a dining lounge, a bar, a library, and a gym. Each space is designed to reflect its function, creating a unique character and ambiance. The design's unique properties lie in its ability to create a luxurious living environment that is both dazzling and inviting, effectively defining the senses and tastes of its users.
Upon entering the main building, visitors are greeted by a grand oval entrance hall that leads to the four domains of the lounge. This transitional space aims to provide a sense of peace and tranquility, with round objects, line grills, hanging conceptual adornments, and sunlight flowing through open glass walls creating a calming and relaxing atmosphere. Two spiral staircases within the oval void lead residents to the B1 parking space.
The design's realization technology is a testament to Hsiao's innovative approach to interior design. The interaction between free lines, harmonious shapes, and layered ceilings define the lounge space. Metal floral filters by the bar window enrich the natural lighting, adding a subtle narrative to the space. The choice of wall stone, with its solemn and calming tone, and the warm wooden texture of the ceiling design and table, convey a warm human touch.
The Lounge Grandeur spans about 1700 square meters, a testament to its grandeur and luxury. The design process began in the summer of 2017 and was completed in February 2018, opening to residents in March of the same year. The project was a group effort by GUDC, Taiwan, with the copyrights belonging to the same entity.
In conclusion, David Hsiao's Lounge Grandeur is a remarkable embodiment of luxurious living and style. It is a shared living space that residents truly love to use, offering a dazzling look and functionality that defines the senses and tastes of its users. It is a testament to Hsiao's innovative approach to design, earning him a well-deserved Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2019.
